Lost and found

The past couple of months have been bitter sweet. We had several groups working on Reunion plans with no one knowing about the others. Charlie Lykins stepped up and consolidated the efforts with John Caballero, Keith Riley, etc. Things were just getting started when we lost Charlie; tragically and much too soon.

His enthusiasm has generated an outpouring of emotions and a heart-felt need to reconnect with former friends and classmates. I think we are traveling well down the right path.

Tom Kalvin and others have picked up the flag and are doing a wonderful, and mostly unheralded, job of putting things together.

Thanks guys.

The loss of Charlie hit me hard. Not that we were close or anything. But I remember during those insecure times of high school when the not so popular people like myself was always greeted kindly and ackowledged favorably in the halls by the funny, kind-hearted "Chunky". His passing inspired me to get in touch with several classmates...finding many very near me in Ft. Lauderdale. I have since rendezvoused with Laurie Larson Durgan. We spent hours going through our yearbooks and enjoying the flashbacks of those simple times that don't seem that long ago. I look forward to seeing the rest of the best of 77' in June! Best Regards, Melanie Garbo

Ditto what Melanie said. I was not aware of what happened until this website. What a great loss! I will pray for his family.
